#4 Wyoming
It's been a while since I posted one of these for a while. So the trip is temporarily on hold, I sat down and looked at my finances the other day and with the US dollar not being so great against the kiwi dollar, I need a lot more money than I had initially calculated. So I will stay where I am for a bit longer. I love my job so it's not so bad, maybe do a couple of little trips for practice until I have the money to do the whole thing.
So this is a view of Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
The one major thing to see in Wyoming is Yellowstone National Park and Old Faithful:
But I just found this cute website with a few random facts:
http://www.pocanticohills.org/usa02/usa02.htm
- The famous Battle of Little Big Horn between Colonel George Custer and Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull happened in Wyoming near the Little Big Horn River in 1876.
- Wyoming women were the first to get the right to vote, that's a good fact for a kiwi girl, I bet women in Wyoming would be interested in a NZ $10 note.
- Wagon rides
- Rodeos
- Bison!!!
