Happy birthday Kat (& the Queen)!
It was Kat's birthday on Saturday. I love birthdays. She had a course all weekend, starting at 8.30 on Saturday morning so Jo and I got up at 7 and cooked her a big breakfast, pancakes, french toast, ice cream, fruit salad. It was so much fun, the kitchen was full of balloons. So Kat got up to a warm kitchen (a rare occurance in our flat) and a big breakfast and presents. Jo and I had been up till like 1am wrapping presents, we got heaps of little things and wrapped them separately. Kat is like a little kid with presents, it was so exciting (I think I was almost just as excited about it all as Kat was). I love birthdays!
Mum came up on Sunday, we had lunch at Capers and roast chicken for dinner at Olivia and Glen's. I met my new niece, my sister's kitten, Missy. She is very cute, she'd have to be considering that they paid $480 for her (free cats are cute too), at least she doesn't look like a hand like that cat Rachel bought on 'Friends'.
I spent all day yesterday reading my dissertation and making more changes for my meeting on Thursday. A thorough waste of a long weekend.
I start my new job today, busy busy week.
