Back to normal...almost
Wow, the last fortnight has been full on, it feels like I have just worked non-stop for the past 2 weeks and I just haven't had time for anything, like cleaning, etc and my flat was driving me crazy. I worked all day Friday from 8 in the morning to 11 in the evening, stopping to eat.
The wänanga went OK this weekend, although I was a total klutz, I burned my finger taking muffins out of the oven, I broke 2 glasses and don't ask about the macaroni cheese (hangi styles, same flavour, less effort - Oops!).
We finished up at 6pm on Saturday night. I came home tired and grumpy. I was in bed by 9. What a nana!
I played bass at church on Sunday morning which was a lot of fun. I went back to work for an hour then home. We had Connect at church on Sunday night (big worship service), I was supposed to be in choir but I decided that I really needed some down time/sleep time and it really wasn't in my best interests to go.
I finally got my room tidied, made the bed, did my washing, made my life normal again and got to bed early. I feel so much better for it.
We put all the balloons from Lizzie's birthday/Kat's welcome home in my room when I wake up in the morning I am in a good mood because my room is bright, colourful, happy and fun.
Music: Richard Ashcroft - Why Not Nothing (Live Acoustic, Paradiso, Amsterdam - 7 March 2006)
