'What I did in my weekend' a rant by Sarah Naylor

So, the weather was kinda cold and yucky.

We had a bunch of people over for tea on Friday, including my sister, Olivia, who pretty much invited herself but it was good times.

I finally watched 'Napolean Dynamite'. Gosh!

On Saturday night I went to see The Dry at Refuel. They were pretty good! They were opening for Chris Knox but I didn't get to stay for him (it is so wrong walking out of a show before the main act, especially since I only know one Chris Knox song, I would have liked to check out more of his stuff) because my ride was leaving and I had an early start in the morning.

I played bass in my band (Sarah & the mamas & the papas) on Sunday morning. It went pretty good.

That's it.

Exciting news in the world of me!

Well, it's been ages since I last updated this so news might seem kind of old.

Kat, Liz and I did the Blokefree Triathalon last week and I was very pleased to come out 51st out of 53 women in my grade (that is 3rd last - at school I always came 2nd last in everything) at 82 mins & 56 secs. My aim was to survive and hopefully in 2 hours so I beat my time by over half an hour. Here are some photos:

So, my other big news is that I submit my research report on Friday and I have two jobs.

1. I am kaimahi-a-rongo, working in the kitchens on wananga weekends (now that we have the new building some lecturers are opting to do their teaching over 1 or 2 weekends rather than weekly lectures so students will stay at uni in a traditional learning environment.

2. I am research assistant for Prof Moorfield putting his new Maori dictionary online. I have my own cubicle!

Cool, eh!
